Shri Chhotalal Vyas Contribution:
Shri Chhotalal Vyas had a significant contribution to the cooperative sector in erstwhile Bombay state, emphasizing Gandhian principles in village development and public life.

Establishment of Shri Chhotalal Vyas Co-operative Management Centre:
Shri Chhotalal Vyas Co-operative Management Centre was established in Nadiad on July 1, 1959.
Initial Years and Name Changes:
Started in 1959 at Nadiad Orphanage by Shri Rameshchandra Dikshit.
Initially known as ‘Gujarat Cooperative Training School’ (1959–1967) and later renamed ‘Gujarat Cooperative Training Centre’ (w.e.f. 1967–68).
Management and Shifts:
Managed by the Gujarat State Co-operative Society since May 1, 1960.
The centre underwent multiple shifts in locations due to accommodation issues for trainees.
Construction of Permanent Facility:
The Kheda District Co-operative constructed a fully equipped building with hostel facilities for the centreat Mission Road in Nadiad.
This facilitated training centre has been operational since 1975 at Sahakari Vidya Bhavan, Mission Road, Nadiad.
Renaming to Gujarat Cooperative Management Centre:
In 1990–91, the centre was renamed ‘Gujarat Cooperative Management Centre’ in consonance with changes in education and training programs, focusing on professional management and modern approaches.
