The Gujarat State Co-operative Union is the Apex state level Cooperative organization responsible for various tasks including the formation of new cooperative societies, providing education and training, maintaining coordination among cooperatives, and resolving issues related to cooperatives in a practical manner. It serves a large cooperative community comprising approximately 89,221 cooperatives of various types with a membership base exceeding 166 Lakhs.
