Trivedi, Dean of Faculty of Management Technology of Gujarat Vidhapith Mr. Ajaybhai Parekh, Department Head of Center for Studies in Rural Management Mr. Mayuriben Farmer, Professor of Center for Studies in Rural Development Mr. Lokeshbhai Jain, etc. Datuk inaugurated the seminar by lighting the lamp.
Gujarat State Co-operative Union, Ahmedabad organized A State Level Women’s Cooperative Seminar on “Motivating Women’s Inclusion” on the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, 2024, was organized by the Gujarat State Cooperative Union, Ahmedabad for members of the various cooperative societies of the state. It was held on 04-03-2024 at Tagore Hall, Paldi, Ahmedabad in the presence of Shri Ghanshyambhai Amin, National Co-operative Leader and President of State Co-operative Sangh. In which about 1100 representative sisters from the cooperative societies of different districts of the state were present.
Ahmedabad Mayor Mrs. Pratibhaben Jain, who was the special guest of the seminar, while saluting, saluting and congratulating Shakti who explained the importance of International Women’s Day, said that women are moving forward step by step. You are invincible, transcending the ages. One should adopt the field according to the interest and proceed with strong self-strength and morale. It is commendable that you get employment and also employ others through cooperative activity.
Gujarat State Co-operative Union, Ahmedabad organized State Level Women Cooperative seminar for Women Empowerment on the ocassion of International Women’s Day celebrated on every 8th of March with the theme of “ DigitALL : Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality” at Tagore Hall, Paldi, Ahmedabad on 3rd March, 2023, which was inaugurated by lighting a lamp by Gujarat State’s former Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat Hon’ble Shri Narhari Amin, Former Co-operation & Education Minister Hon’ble Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudashma, National Cooperative Leader and Chairman of Gujarat State Co-operative Union Hon’ble Shri Ghanshyam Amin, Women Empowerment (Asia – Pacific) New Delhi Chairperson Shri Priti Patel, Vice Chancellor of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar University, Ahmedabad Dr. Ami Upadhyay, Editor Shri Ajaybhai Umat & Deputy Chief Executive of NCUI Shri Savitri Singh alongwith other top cooperative dignitaries remained present and launched the book named “Naari Pragatina Panthe”, through this seminar a strong effort were made to encourage women to join and perform better in cooperatives.
On the Occasion of International Women’s Day -8th March 2020, Sunday, Gujarat State Co-operative Union, Ahmedabad organized State Level Women Co-operative Seminar at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sahakar Hall of Gujarat State Co-op Bank Ltd. The seminar was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat Hon’ble Shri Nitin Patel, Ahmedabad Mayor Shri Bijal Patel along with Chairman of Gujarat State Co-operative Union Hon’ble Shri G.H Amin & Chairperson of Women Committee Shri Bhavna Jadeja. Where in Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat Hon’ble Shri Nitin Patel honored Shri G.H Amin with the “Co-operative Good Governance Award” for his exemplary service in the co-operative sector.

Gujarat State Co-operative Union, Ahmedabad, Co-operative Bank of India, New Delhi, And The Economics Times jointly organized the National Credit And Urban Co-operative Banking Summit-2019 on 3rd August 2019 at Hotel Hyatt, Ahmedabad, which was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister of Gujarat State Shri Vijay Rupani, Ex-Cooperation Minister Shri Dilipbhai Sanghani, Chairman of Gujarat State Cooperative Union, Ahmedabad Hon’ble Shri G.H Amin and other dignitaries. A book named “Co-op Banks and Income-tax” was also launched at the event by the then Chief Minister of Gujarat State Shri Vijay Rupani.

Through this seminar, a strong effort was made to strengthen women’s solidarity in Co-operatives.

Gujarat State Co-operative Union, Ahmedabad organized Gujarat State Cooperative Women Congress to strengthen women’s solidarity in cooperatives & women empowerment at Nathiba Hall, Kadi Sarva Vidhyalay, Sector-23, Gandhinagar on 26th December 2014, Friday which was inaugurated by Gujarat State’s First Woman Chief Minister Hon’ble Shri Anandiben Patel.
Gujarat State Co-operative Union, Ahmedabad organized the Gujarat State Cooperative Congress at Dada Bhagwan Tri-Mandir, Adalaj on 30th July 2013 which was inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri Narendra Modiji, the then Chief Minister of Gujarat, in the same function Hon’ble Shri Bhupendra Chudasma (Education Minister), Hon’ble Shri Babubhai Bokhariya (Co-operation Minister), Shri Dilip Sanghani (Eminent Co-operator), Shri Ajay Patel (Chairman –GSC Bank ) and other dignitaries along with more than 3000 representatives remained present.
On completion of 50 years, the Gujarat State Cooperative Union organized the Golden Jubilee Mahotsav and state-level cooperative convention representing primary to State level cooperative institutions at Dada Bhagwan Tri-Mandir, Adalaj, Dist. Gandhinagar on 27th June 2010. It was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Governor of Gujarat, Dr. Smt. Kamlaji. Shri Ghanshyambhai H. Amin. Chairman of Gujarat State Cooperative Union & Vice-Chairman, of International Cooperative Alliance, Asia Pacific Region Board Presided over the function. Hon’ble Shri Dinsha Patel, Union Minister for Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India; Hon’ble Shri Dilipbhai Sanghani, Agri. & Cooperation Minister, Gujarat State Were the Chief Guests of the Function. Shri Jayntilal B. Patel, President, National Federation of Coop. Sugar Factories Ltd. and other dignitaries were the ‘Guests of Honor’ of the function. Approximately 3000 delegates from primary, taluka, district, and State level cooperative institutions attended the function.
The Hon’ble Governor felicitated Shri Ghanshyambhai Amin with shawl and Samman Patra on behalf of the Board of Gujarat State Cooperative Union for his dynamic and innovative leadership provided for the development of cooperative movements at the National and International level as the President of the National Cooperative Union of India and Vice-Chairman, International Cooperative Alliance, Asia Pacific Region.
The Gujarat State Co-operative Union celebrated the centenary year of the Indian Co-operative Movement in a grand manner during 2004-05. Hon’ble Governor of Gujarat Shri Nawal Kishore Sharma was the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony. Hon’ble Union Minister of Agriculture was the Chief Guest in the closing ceremony held at Rajkot. The Union released a huge “Smriti Granth” depicting the roots and wings of cooperatives with special reference to the achievements of co-operatives in the state of Gujarat. Additionally, 100 prominent co-operators of Gujarat were also recognized and honored during the centenary year celebrations for their contribution to the development of the cooperative movement. Awards were also given to the best-performing cooperatives, among which AMUL and Bardoli Sugar Factory were notable.
